Lead Financial Analyst

Hobson Prior are currently seeking for a Lead Financial Analyst to join a brilliant pharmaceutical organisation on a permanent basis located in Cork. Our client is focused on producing active ingredients for their medicines.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this position, you will supervise accounting procedures carried out by the international business service centre and discuss with those teams on a weekly basis to agree on work-plans as well as advise on accounting postings when needed.
• The ideal candidate will prepare account reconciliations monthly for all allocated accounts on the overall ledger using the online reconciliation system.
• Arrange SOx procedures, which involves preparing locally owned SOX controls, guaranteeing that all are in a state of constant compliance.
• Guarantee that GA/FA/P2P and any other financial procedures are documented suitably and are being conducted rendering to the internal policy and are prepared for audits.
• Evaluate SOx and operational controls are conducted by the international business services centre, raising concerns when required.
• You will accomplish ongoing quarterly and year-end reporting needs for corporate financial reporting team to assist with the US statutory reporting needs.
• Assure precision of financial accounting entries in manufacturing entities under the US GAAP accounting rules.
• Collaborate with cost/management accountants to guarantee all manufacturing accounts are precisely stated at monthly as well as quarterly/year-end close.
• Guarantee that intercompany accounting procedures are followed and that all intercompany accounting instructions are adhered and actioned upon in a timely fashion.

Requirements:

• A qualified Accountant in ACA/ CIMA/CPA/ACCA with at least 2-3 years PQE experience.
• Expertise and familiarity with preparing financial statements under the IFRS and local GAAP.
• An organised individual with documentation abilities.
• Acquaintance with working in a manufacturing finance organisation/team.
• Know-how of US GAAP.
• Previous involvement with SAP.
