Hobson Prior are currently seeking for a Laboratory Engineer for Primary Packaging to join a brilliant pharmaceutical organisation on a permanent basis located in Basel. Our client is focused on developing, manufacturing ad testing products for their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this role, you will develop and execute lab testing methods, protocols, and processes for primary packaging resources.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams, which involves GMP drug product manufacturing and quality control.
• Keep up to date on the latest advancements and trends in primary packaging material and device testing and offer suggestions for adopting innovative technologies or strategies.
• Serve as an SME for testing container closure systems.
• The ideal candidate will translate primary packaging resources and device testing process needs into technical ideas.
• You will utilise your technical knowledge to develop novel and effective designs that meet testing needs.
• Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Vocational training or educated to a degree level in an engineering, packaging technology, pharmaceutical sciences or similar discipline.
• Familiarity within a research/technical assistance role within a pharmaceutical organisation with lab and equipment acquaintance in primary packaging material and device testing.
• Past involvement in primary packaging material suppliers, device deployment and manufacturing, verification engineering and quality control.
• Expertise on pertinent guidelines and industry standards, for example: ISO 11607, USP chapter <1207>, and ASTM F2391 standards.
