Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Head of Innate Immune Cell Therapies to join a brilliant biotech organisation on a permanent basis. Our client is focused on improving the lives of those suffering from cancer.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will serve as the SME to preclinical teams, cross-functional program teams and management team.
- The ideal candidate will develop innovative illness-pertinent hypothesis and novel drug ideas with a focus on innate immunity as well as drive publication of experimental outcomes.
- For this role, you will guide and form R&D scale generation of innate immune cell preparations as well as drive the review of innovative mixture regimens both in vitro and in vivo.
- Cooperate within a matrix setting.
- Form scientific rationale and drive experimental work to form a mixture of therapies of the company and adoptive cellular therapy.
- Any other assigned duties.
Key Skills:
- Able to form relations with team members and external associates, guaranteeing successful cooperation.
- Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Requirements:
- Educated to an advanced degree level with pertinent work experience in cellular cancer immunotherapies.
- At least 5 years of experience in a research leadership position within a clinical, biotechnology or pharmaceutical organisation in the context of the development of cell therapies in immuno-oncology.
- Familiarity with guiding a research laboratory driving project rendering to budget, quality and timelines.
- Acquaintance with large-scale planning and functional characterisation of innate immune cells, for example: NK cells, gamma-delta T cells and/or macrophages.
- Expertise on lined processing equipment, for example: CliniMACS, CliniMACS Prodigy, G-Rex.
- Know-how of genetic modification of innate immune cells would be beneficial.
- Comprehension of regulatory and quality needs for GMP-compliant generation of cell products would be advantageous.
- Fluency in the English language with knowledge in German would be beneficial.
