Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Global Drug Development Project Manager to join a brilliant biopharmaceutical organisation on a permanent basis located in Gosselies. Our client is focused on prolonging and improving the lives of many who suffer from cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this role, you will work with cross-functional international matrix teams, accountable for project management of drug development projects.
• Accountable for the development and quality of integrated project plans such as timelines, milestones, interdependencies, resources, value and risks, as well as recognition/management of the critical path.
• Collaborate with the project leader(s) accountable for setting ambitious objectives and assisting the team to implement the project plan.
• You will be accountable for driving actions and guaranteeing arrangement between the various functions included within the project, such as commercial, regulatory, CMC, clinical/clin ops, translational medicine and preclinical.
• Responsible for presenting and defencing project plans, scenarios, issues, and recommendations to senior committees, as well as for arranging project team meetings.
• Serve as the secretariat of the project team and assure compliance with governance needs such as write minutes, uphold action list and decision log, etc.
• Accountable for guaranteeing actions are accomplished in a timely manner and/or impact of any delay on the project is communicated promptly to management and corrective actions are put in place.
• Accountable for working with project leader(s) and functional project representatives to recognise the risks connected to the project and guarantee mitigation actions are put in place.
• The ideal candidate will be accountable for assisting project leader(s) and function heads throughout the budget and overall management of the project budget.
• Collaborate with project leader(s) to maintain solid communication in the team and discuss project updates and status to management and any other internal shareholders.
• Assist project leader(s) and team in board meeting preparations, investor relations and business development actions are needed.
• Offer extra project management assistance for governance procedures or change-management, based on company requirements and project manager capacity.
• Accountable for guaranteeing constant project management standards to facilitate efficient portfolio management.

Requirements:

• Training or education to an advanced degree role within a scientific or technical field.
• Demonstrable experience within international project management in a biopharmaceutical organisation.
• Familiarity within project management of clinical-stage drug development projects would be ideal, such as late-stage clinical development projects through regulatory proposals would be ideal.
• Capable of handling cross-functional drug development projects which involves the ability for scenario-planning.
• Computer literacy.
• An organised individual with the ability to document and prioritise workload.
• Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Capable of working on various tasks simultaneously.
• Comprehension of the drug development process from preclinical steps via FTIM/IND/CTA proposal, registration and post-registration.
• Comprehension of functional areas of drug development, which involves preclinical, toxicology, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, CMC/drug supply, translational medicine, data sciences and clinical operations.
• Matrix management capabilities for example: practical experience within project management for R&D cross-functional teams.
• Able to work efficiently in a team.
• Willing to travel for business needs.
