Hobson Prior is seeking a Formulation and Process Principal Scientist for a role in the biopharmaceutical industry. This role focuses on the development of pharmaceutical products, including injectable and oral forms. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing formulations, selecting primary packaging and defining the drug product manufacturing process. This role is based in France and offers a hybrid work arrangement with three days on-site and two days of remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Develop pharmaceutical products by creating formulations, choosing primary packaging, and outlining the manufacturing process.
• Ensure the timely availability of necessary documents such as protocols, reports, and batch records.
• Present project results and progress at internal meetings.
• Manage the transfer and scale-up of the drug product manufacturing process.
• Oversee the manufacturing of technical and formal stability campaigns.
• Manage contracts and Quality Technical Agreements with Drug Product Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs).
• Contribute to the writing of the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) sections of regulatory submissions.
• Maintain a network of efficient subcontractors.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects within the department.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• A degree in pharmacy, engineering, or science, ideally with a PhD in science.
• Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in project management.
• Experience in managing CDMOs.
• Ability to work well in a team and in a matrix environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Fluency in English.
