Hobson Prior are currently seeking a Facilities Manager to join a brilliant biotech corporation on a contract basis located in Philadelphia. Our client is focused on the oncology therapeutic area, in engineering and distributing remedies focused on patients with solid tumours.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For this position, you will be accountable for monitoring project budgets financial commitments and expenditures.
  • Conduct constructability and biddability reviews.
  • Correspond with the Director and others on the project.
  • You will be responsible for partaking in needed four monthly project review meetings.
  • Handle and organise sub consultant input on projects.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the facility services department involving handling soft services: security building access, control GMP cleaning, key management, landlord tenant relations, waste management, and pest control.
  • Permit development and execution of company best practices for facility services.
  • The ideal candidate will organise contract personnel through completion of allocations.
  • Independently handle allotted projects through accomplishment.
  • Guarantee projects and routine work or implement it safely competently in accordance with all pertinent codes and the company's standards.
  • As the Facilities Manager, you will ensure that facilities meet EH&S requirements and conform with legal requirements.
  • You will develop solutions to problems of reasonable complication which require high degree of ingenuity creativity and innovativeness.

Key Skills:

  • Capable in MS Office applications.
  • Self-regulating decision-making competence and aptitude to think conceptually and understand impact of decision.

Requirements:

  • Obtained a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of advanced applicable experience in bio pharmaceutical industry and experience in cell therapy is preferred.
  • Project management certification or corresponding experience is advantageous.
  • Former experience operating in highly controlled manufacturing settings is desirable but not essential to the role.
  • Prior experience working in biotechnology/immunotherapy lab and manufacture environment is beneficial, but not vital to the role.
  • Exhibited leadership capabilities to carry out difficult decisions in a logical rational manner and established ability to work as a senior management team member to engage and impact team members in the matrix setting.
  • Practical writing capability and experience with authoring approving and training staff on SOP's deviations and CAPAS.
