Hobson Prior are currently seeking for an Environment and Sustainability Manager to join a fantastic clinical-stage gene therapy organisation on a permanent basis located in London. Our client is focused on producing solutions that might have the possibility of curing those who suffer from severe illnesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this position, you will guide environment and sustainability, develop and embed the method gaining the by-in of key shareholders at all levels which involves the senior leadership team.
• The ideal candidate will set and measure suitable realistic, and SMART goals for the business as well as guarantee that suitable action plans to accomplish out objectives are executed aligned with EHS method.
• You will facilitate and influence business unit's compliance with the EHS management system which will include influencing those outside their direct control and collaborating with site management teams to deliver EH compliance.
• Suggest expenditure for approval by the lead of a business unit or the head of EHS.
• Responsible for developing, executing and upholding appropriate environmental management systems, policies, processes, and leadership which will aid in reducing risk and guaranteeing legal compliance.
• Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Educated to a degree level, or corresponding work experience within an environmental science or sustainability field.
• Identified environmental qualifications and professional memberships such as PIEMA/MIEMA or corresponding.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard.
• Willing to travel for business needs up to 25% of the time.
• Qualification in ISO 14001 Auditing or corresponding work experience.
• Acquaintance with executing and obtaining accreditation for an ISO14001 compliant management system.
• Leadership skills and experience.
• Collaboration abilities with shareholders when developing an environmental management system would be beneficial.
