Hobson Prior are currently seeking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a fantastic biotech organisation on a permanent basis located in Munich. Our client is focused on offering instruments and consumables for the advanced analysis of biomolecular interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this position, you will serve as the expert on the entire organisation on their embedded software.
• Responsible for tactical roadmaps and making decisions on how the software will form over the years, alongside product method.
• The ideal candidate will deploy containerisation through docker technologies.
• You will design, develop and uphold embedded biosensor software focusing on scalability, performance and consistency.
• Execute and optimise communication protocols.
• Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• At least 4+ years of experience in a commercial setting in an embedded C++ engineering role.
• Familiarity with developing scalable embedded solutions on Linux OS (Debian).
• Acquaintance with sensor integration/data acquisition in embedded settings.
• Past involvement in containerisation.
• Knowledge and experience with Python3.
• Former involvement with TDD, Refactoring, CI/CD pipeline, etc.
• Previously worked with RS-485 or RS-232, Modbus, OTA-Updates or knowledge of the biotech/scientific instrument space would be advantageous.
• Fluency in the English language with knowledge in German would be beneficial.
