Hobson Prior are looking for a Drug Discovery Manager to join a brilliant pharmaceutical organisation on a permanent basis located in London. Our client is focused on helping those who suffer from a specific neurological disease.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this position, you will be accountable for handling and assess new preclinical project pitches.
• Guide the development of some drug discovery projects as well as aid others.
• Form strong project plans containing effective use of external material suppliers such as for in vitro and in vivo biology/pharmacology, screening, ADME profiling etc.
• Coordinate with external associates as well as the Parkinson's society.

Requirements:

• Educated to a degree level (a doctorate) in an applicable field.
• At least 5 years of working experience in a pharma or biotech industry with general knowledge in drug discovery biology.
• Familiarity with small molecule drug discovery ideologies and practices which involves experience of assay development and in vitro biochemical and cellular methods.
• Prior experience in neuroscience drug discovery ideally with specialised knowledge of neurodegeneration.
• Exceptional communication capabilities with the ability to display multifaceted information applicable to both scientific and non-scientific spectators.
