Hobson Prior is seeking a Distribution Centre (DC) Operator to join a biotech organization in Burgess Hill on a 6-month contract. This role involves working as part of the supply chain team in a shop-floor-based position, ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods. You will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and meeting customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team to complete daily tasks and meet performance targets.
• Ensure timely and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, including temperature-sensitive items.
• Prioritize urgent orders and process customer backorders promptly.
• Assist with loading/unloading vehicles and moving stock to replenish picking areas.
• Accurately pick and pack customer orders, adhering to quality and safety standards.
• Perform inventory checks and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Operate warehouse management systems (SAP R-3 and SAP EWM) to complete tasks.
• Follow all quality system procedures and contribute to their improvement.
• Collaborate with team members and management to support wider distribution center operations.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet operational targets.
• Experience in handling and storing goods, including temperature-controlled items.
• Attention to detail for accurate order picking and packing.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP R-3, SAP EWM) is beneficial.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
