Hobson Prior are currently recruiting for a Director of Biostatistics to join a medium-sized Biopharmaceutical organisation who are focused on developing T-cell therapies for the treatment of Cancer. This is a permanent position located in Massachusetts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Take leadership of all statistical aspects of projects within one of the company's therapeutic divisions.
• Represent as the primary point of contact for all projects within the therapeutic division, ensuring the delivery of projects across all phases of a drug development program and working cross-functionally to identify and rectify any problems.
• Lead the ongoing process improvement by suggesting, evaluating and supporting the implementation of novel statistical strategies and methods, collaborating with external vendors, Consultants, third-parties and Scientists to find opportunities for innovation within the company's R&D group.
• You will manage the tasks of 2 direct reports who, in turn, are responsible for managing to day-to-day activities of the projects within the therapeutic division.
• Be visible to regulatory bodies and external stakeholders in order to advise and defend the chosen actions, statistical methods and results of projects within your therapeutic division.

Key Skills:

• Excellent project management skills.
• Effective 'line or people management' skills in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• PhD (preferred) or MSc Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or related.
• Extensive experience within the Pharmaceutical or Biotech sectors.
• Knowledge of programming within SAS or R.
• Prior experience of Oncology trials is highly admirable.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and submission-related activities.
