Hobson Prior is seeking a Director of Biostatistics & Data Management for a biotechnology company that focuses specializes in cancer treatment. This role can be performed remotely or in a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities:

• Become the 'Head of Biometrics' for a growing Biostatistics and Data Management team - including Line Managing a small team of Biostatisticians, Programmers and Data Managers and supporting with the ongoing hiring and development of the function.
• Lead the creation of SOPs and standard for the Biometrics function including leading strategic discussions with internal and external stakeholders regarding in-sourcing and out-sourcing of Biostatistics and Data Management activities.
• Provide hands-on statistical support to clinical trials including supporting the implementation of novel statistical methodologies and advising regarding complex statistical analysis.
• Lead discussions with regulatory authorities and support the company to complete successful submissions to the US and European authorities.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• PhD (Preferred) or MSc in Biostatistics, Statistics or Mathematics
• Ideally 10+ years of experience as a Biostatistician in a Pharmaceutical, Biotech or CRO organisation
• Experience in Oncology is a MUST have
• Experience leading or supporting interactions with regulatory authorities (FDA, EMEA)
• Experience as a Line Manager - ideally managing a cross-functional team
