Director, EU Decentralised Clinical Operations

Hobson Prior are recruiting for a Director, EU Decentralised Clinical Operations to join a health-care organisation on a permanent basis located in Dublin. Key Responsibilities:

• Leading a team in the set-up, management and oversight of decentralised clinical trials in Ireland
• Leading and advising on the strategy of clinical trials for both Ireland and more widely across Europe
• Acting as the SME in decentralised clinical trials in Europe and pertaining regulations
• Building and establishing a team of clinical operations professionals working both on-site and remotely
• Working closely with US-based counterparts to advise on the challenges and solutions to setting-up trials in Europe

Requirements:

• A sound understanding of, and experience in, the set-up, management and execution of decentralised and/or home healthcare clinical trials, preferably in Ireland and/or Europe
• Knowledge of running clinical trials in Europe. A knowledge of the Irish regulations governing clinical trials would be advantageous
• Experience in managing-up and advising overseas counterparts to establish the European clinical trials and advising on the complexities of scaling in Europe (i.e. language barriers etc.) and how to overcome these
• Experience in office management and oversight would be beneficial (including P&L, selection and management of outside vendors including cleaning etc.)
• Leadership skills and the ability to build a team from scratch and create the right productive and inclusive culture
• A background in home healthcare nursing and/or clinical trials and operations
• An operational and entrepreneurial spirit!

This role will be based in the client's brand new office in Dublin with some flexibility to work from home.
