Data Scientist (hybrid)

Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Data Scientist to join a brilliant pharmaceutical organisation on a contract basis with hybrid working available. Our client is focused on improving and prolonging the lives of many.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this role, you will partake in a variety of data science projects depending on interest and skillset, which involves visualisation, data ingestion and processing, and computational modelling of biological procedures.
• The ideal candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Responsible for impacting early-stage clinical trials and drug discovery programmes by offering contributions to data quality control and data analysis.
• Author code to process and analysis 'omics data such as high throughput screening RNASeq, scRNASeq, etc., within a high-performance computing setting.
• Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Educated to a degree level in a computational science/bioinformatics or similar field.
• Fluency in the English language.
• Acquaintance with using the RR programming language such as Bioconductor / Tidyverse / RShiny.
• Familiarity with implementing bioinformatics workflows and software to analyse and quality control RNA-seq datasets and any other 'omics data types.
• Know-how of biological sciences, genetics and genomics.
• Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Prior involvement with CUT&Tag datasets or deep molecular scanning (DMS) technologies.
• Familiarity with processing clinical oncology datasets, which involves cfDNA datasets.
