Hobson Prior is seeking a Project Scientist to join a dedicated Clinical Science team. This role involves designing and executing clinical plans and trials across various diseases and indications, in collaboration with the trial and program physicians.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the trial/program physician on related activities.
  • Contribute scientific knowledge to trial/program level documents.
  • Engage with clinical experts, organize and participate in expert meetings.
  • Attend meetings with Health Authorities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the science and medicine related to trials and programs.
  • Conduct literature reviews and acquire specific medical and scientific knowledge for the project/program.
  • Provide scientific input to medical monitoring activities related to the trial/program.
  • Represent the trial/program at internal and external meetings.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • A PhD, Pharm D, MSc or equivalent degree in life sciences, with a passion for clinical science.
  • Experience in a contract research organisation or pharmaceutical company, particularly in planning, setting up, conducting, closing and reporting of phase II and III clinical studies.
  • Experience in Rare/Orphan Diseases.
  • Previous experience in writing clinical study protocols, ICFs, and other scientific trial-related documents.
  • Solid experience with data review/medical monitoring of clinical trials.
  • Previous program (project) level experience within a clinical development program for a compound.
  • Exposure to preclinical development activities is a plus.
  • Ability to organize and contribute to scientific discussions with external experts.
  • Knowledge of drug development and clinical trial process.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements/ICH guidelines.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of matrix team management; people management is a plus.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English language.
