We are working with a small-sized Pharmaceutical company who focus within 3 main Therapeutic Areas Oncology, Immuno-Oncology and Neurology. Our client is looking for a Clinical Outsourcing Manager to join them on a contract basis where you will be based in London.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of SP approval documents in collaboration with the study teams for submission to the Strategic Outsourcing Committee.
- Be the point of contact with SPs for all Work Order/Change Order and Investigator Agreement related tasks. Legal will coordinate contract tasks, but some point of contact may be required from Clinical Operations.
- Reviews the contract scope with the clinical study protocol and ensures the services required are adequately captured in the contract with the.
- Designs payment schedules in order to ensure that payments are made to SPs, according to milestones or work performed.
- Coordinate with SPs to ensure best performance and business relationships. Escalate management issues with the SP as appropriate.
- Partner with functional groups in order to develop improvements to document templates and processes and tools.
- Offer financial oversight of SPs/studies to include review of payments and invoices where applicable.
- Manage teams through the planning, review, analysis and SP selection process including coordinating the RFI and the distribution of RFPs and managing the bid defence process.
- Review and compare SP proposals, Work Orders and Change Orders for accuracy, completeness and suitability of costing.
- Conduct oneself at all times in accordance with Quality Management System, working practices, applicable GxP regulations ensuring training in these areas is kept up-to-date at all times.
Requirements:
- Educated in Degree in Life Sciences or business degree or equivalent with demonstrable experience in Pharmaceutical/CRO/Biotech industry providing practical, business focused outsourcing advice in an outsourcing role.
- Procurement expertise in clinical research and proven experience in contract management, including a good understanding of contracting principles and applicable regulations governing clinical research.
- Ideally, experience of working in a global team environment and providing outsourcing advice when needed from a global perspective.
- Demonstrating effective influencing, negotiating, interpersonal, leadership and team player skills.
- Ability to manage own time and to use internal and external resources to meet business needs.
- Customer focused and solution orientated. Ability to implement strategies to ensure success in meeting delivery of objectives with appropriate time, quality and cost results.
- Excellent analytical and financial skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Good communication skills to include superior written, oral and presentation skills. Able to represent at external meetings with SPs.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment. Experience of working closely with or within Japanese a company.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
