Hobson Prior are working closely with a brilliant biopharmaceutical organisation who are seeking an experienced Clinical Development Leader (MD) on a permanent basis located in Sweden. Our Client is focused on providing access to novel remedies for patients suffering from diseases that are uncommon and that are hard to treat.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this role, you will Participate in clinical development plans and activities by providing clinical, scientific, and strategic input ensuring success by adhering to scientific and ethical standards.
• Assist in the management of company-sponsored studies in the role of Medical Director.
• Collaborate closely with Medical Development Leads and Medical Program Leads, clinical study teams, regulatory, safety and other cross-functional HQ teams to plan, design, conduct (including medical monitoring) and report company-sponsored studies.
• Providing scientific and medical development strategy as part of the Medical Development Team and Clinical Study Team(s).
• Consult with key opinion leaders and lead advisory boards to define new products and indications.
• Contribute to the statistical analysis of clinical study protocols, participate in investigator meetings, and review other main clinical study documents as required or appropriate.
• Providing operational and strategic clinical development expertise in interactions with regulatory authorities.
• Provide high-quality scientific and medical input to submissions and other regulatory documents, as well as to responses to Health Authority questions, e.g., scientific advice, IND application, marketing authorization.
• Assist other functions within the company with scientific and medical expert support on specific therapeutic areas of expertise, such as global safety, medical affairs activities like advisory boards, scientific communications and publications, and business development activities such as due diligence evaluations of external compounds.

Requirements:

• A medical degree with a specialty in hemato-oncology or rheumatology is required.
• The ability to translate early-stage programs into clinical trials and across the clinical development chain in onco-hematology, oncology, hematology, rheumatology, and immunology with outstanding and intimate understanding of the processes involved.
• Professional expertise in bringing medical and scientific insight to business development, corporate strategy, and leadership decision-making.
• A strong background in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
