Chief Operations Officer

Hobson Prior are looking for a Chief Operations Officer to join a Med Tech organisation on a permanent basis located in Eindhoven. Our client is focused on providing restorative cardiovascular therapy with medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow a full internal organisation of operations, quality assurance, risk management, facility management, IT, and human resource management to deliver a successful outcome on time.
• Establish priorities for all departments and track their execution.
• Ensure operations comply with ISO 13485 standards for MDR and GMP.
• Drive industrialisation efforts and continuous improvements across R&D and manufacturing.
• Manage quality improvement activities for a more robust manufacturing process.
• Oversee the approval process for US/EU regulations.
• Ensure that the overall budget is managed effectively.
• Provide a status report to the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee.
• Identifying scaling opportunities and executing them.
• Providing status reports and metrics on the project team's operations.

• A capacity to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team.
• Exceptional skills in the use of business software tools (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.).
• Possess an analytical, accurate, eager-to-learn and grow attitude.

Requirements:

• A relevant Master's degree is preferred, e.g. in Engineering.
• Experience leading medical device or pharmaceutical operations for at least 10 years.
• Experience as a C-level executive in start-ups and scaling them up
• Manufacturing and industrialisation experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in executing development to regulatory approvals.
• You should be fluent in English, and an understanding of Dutch would be useful.
