Hobson Prior is seeking a Category Manager for a contract role based in Bern. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing procurement plans, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with global sourcing policies. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement tools and techniques, as well as excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop procurement plans and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct regular strategic analysis of category spend and market trends.
• Review and refine procurement strategy in line with strategic objectives.
• Manage supplier relationships and conduct regular review meetings.
• Execute competitive bid processes.
• Monitor supplier performance and develop improvement plans.
• Manage all supply contracts within the category.
• Ensure compliance with global sourcing policies.
• Manage vendor identification and data governance processes.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of procurement tools and techniques.
• Ability to manage stakeholders in a complex, decentralized environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a relevant technical discipline.
• Experience in negotiating complex supply agreements.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a multi-national, multi-cultural environment.
• Fluency in German and Business English.
