Hobson Prior is seeking a Buyer for a contract role based in Munich. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sourcing activities for various projects within the indirect spend category area. This includes professional services, logistics, commercial data, HR, travel, and clinical trial supply.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end sourcing activities for various projects.
• Communicate with departments to understand their needs and develop specifications.
• Ensure projects are competitively bid, negotiated, and contracts are signed before work begins.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and relevant internal departments to ensure sourcing events are delivered on time, on cost, and on quality.
• Negotiate individual and project-related contracts with suppliers, and establish Preferred Suppliers where necessary.
• Monitor and manage relationships with vendors to ensure contracts are executed as per agreement and resolve performance gaps identified.
• Conduct all activities in accordance with policies and procedures as well as all relevant external regulations.

Requirements

• Degree level education (preferably in Economics, Business Administration or Procurement).
• Proven expertise and working history in Procurement.
• Strong negotiation skills, supplemented with contract & legal knowledge.
• Intercultural understanding and robust customer centricity.
• Team player and reliable partner with very good communication skills and a "can do" attitude.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, open to support other team members as needed.
• Languages - Fluency in English mandatory and with additional German fluency preferable.
