Bioprocessing Scientist - Downstream

Hobson Prior are seeking a Bioprocessing Scientist - Downstream to join a brilliant pharmaceutical company on a permanent basis located in London. Our Client is focused on treatment development for serious diseases that may be curable.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this role, you will ensure compliance with SOPs and GMP procedures in the production process to ensure that products are manufactured in accordance with requirements.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure the manufacture of intermediate sterile products.
• Assure continued compliance with GMP practices within clean room environments.
• Manage the GMP facility on a daily basis to ensure that it operates in a compliant and safe manner to permit the production of gene therapy products.
• Maintain a clean manufacturing facility by performing routine cleaning.
• Monitor the manufacturing plant's environmental conditions.
• Preserve the manufacturing facility and storage areas in a fit-for-purpose condition.
• Maintain the stock inventory by conducting regular stock checks.

Key Skills:

• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• The ability to understand numbers in a clear and concise manner.
• Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Requirements:

• An undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant scientific discipline with practical laboratory elements (or an equivalent program) or a BTEC Higher National Certificate/Higher National Diploma.
• Aseptic manufacturing experience and familiarity with biologic production processes (preference for biologic products) would be an asset.
• Experience preparing and analyzing samples in a practical environment.
