Hobson Prior are looking for a Bioassay Manager - Analytical Science and Technology to join a brilliant Pharmaceutical Biotechnology company on a permanent basis, located in Spain. Our Client is focused on delivering life-changing medicines for patients through mRNA science.

Key Responsibilities:
- In this position you will be responsible for leading a team of research associates across cell-based ELISA, molecular biology, and in vitro disciplines to acquire, qualify, and transfer methods.
- Provide expertise in bioassays to the team.
- Support deviations and investigations with technical assessments.
- Ensure the team's training, development, and growth.
- Manage method qualification/validation executions and data review, as well as writing protocols and reports.
- Supervise the drafting of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the method.
- Implement remediation, change, and optimization of analytical methods in conjunction with Analytical Development and Quality Control.
- Using project management tools, monitor acquisition, qualification, and implementation timelines.
- Provide audit support to internal and vendor teams.
- Assist the digital team in expanding and optimizing the LIMS (LabVantage) system.
- Create and maintain a safe laboratory.
Requirements:
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant science discipline is required.
- A minimum of five years of GMP or development laboratory experience in mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, and bioassays is required (BA degree) or two to four years (MS degree).
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing teams from testing scheduling to lab projects.
- Extensive experience in performing and troubleshooting Mammalian Cell Culture, sequence and potency assays.
- Understanding of FDA, EU, ICH guidelines and regulations.
- Have demonstrated a thorough understanding of method qualifications and validations.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and communicate effectively in a scientifically sound manner.
- Prioritize, manage and complete multiple projects and tasks independently and efficiently.
- Effectively collaborate across functional lines in a matrix environment.
- The ability to write and speak English fluently (both written and spoken).
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
