Hobson Prior are looking for a Bioanalytical Scientist to join a top biotechnology organisation on a permanent basis in Hertfordshire. Our client concentrates on developing pioneering gene therapies to enable people living with chronic diseases live a better life.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable to support the Laboratory Manager in establishing a GCP compliant laboratory.
  • Execution of bioanalytical methods validation.
  • In-house clinical testing activities ensuring GCP compliance is followed.
  • Contribution to bioanalytical methods development.
  • Execution of analytical studies according to analytical plans and protocols, with defined schedules and responsibilities.
  • Accurate and compliant data recording and reporting of all data, per SOPs, including peer review checking.
  • Following SOPs and Protocols, effective performance of analytical methods generating valid and reliable data.
  • Making sure all SOPs are up to date and reviewed when necessary.
  • Pro-active and effective team working within QC and across company departments where required.
  • Routine maintenance, verification and qualification of specified analytical systems for GCP lab operations.
  • Interaction with quality professionals and responding to audit findings as required.

Key Skills:

  • A flexible approach plus the ability to work to set priorities and deliver projects on time in a fastmoving agile work environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to present and explain data (internally and externally).

Requirements:

  • Degree in biochemistry or biological science, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in any of Proteomics or Genomics, chemical, ligand binding assays.
  • You will have at least 3 years' experience in bioanalysis either in industry, clinical laboratories and/or biomedical research.
  • Biological assays in a variety of applications including cell culture-based methods in vitro.
  • Contribution to reporting of data, protocols, SOPs and internal written reports.
