Hobson Prior is seeking a Lead Engineer for Visual Inspection. This role requires expertise in automated inspection machines and the ability to manage both automatic and manual visual inspection processes. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing inspection recipes and training colleagues on various aspects of the processes and equipment operation.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the go-to person for automated visual inspection technologies.
• Identify and implement cost-saving ideas, particularly those that improve efficiency and increase equipment capacity.
• Lead projects aimed at reducing defects, improving equipment reliability, and better equipment utilization.
• Train colleagues on processes, inspection, and equipment operation.
• Prepare for audits, present investigations, procedures, or practices to auditors, and act as an expert for tours.
• Contribute knowledge on emerging technologies and develop and share best practices.
• Mentor junior colleagues.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor's or associate Degree in a science, engineering, or related field.
• Experience in the visual inspection field of sterile drug product manufacturing processes.
• Experience with manual, semi-automatic, and automatic visual inspection processes.
• Experience in validating manufacturing drug product processes and automatic visual inspection equipment.
• Broad understanding of regulatory and quality requirements for drug products.
• Knowledge of drug product visual inspection process including validation regulation.
• Knowledge of automatic visual inspection process, inspection recipe development, and use of appropriate function of equipment.
