Hobson Prior is seeking an Associate Scientist specializing in in vitro biology and cellular immunology for a 12-month temporary position. This role involves conducting advanced cellular biology and pharmacology research within a dynamic biotech environment. The successful candidate will be part of a team focused on understanding autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, contributing to the development of cellular tests to evaluate small molecules.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct cellular experiments independently using various lab techniques.
• Contribute to the development of disease relevant cellular assays with the purpose to evaluate and screen the activity of small molecules.
• Design and set up experiments by reviewing literature or following detailed protocols.
• Analyse and interpret experimental data.
• Document work in lab notebooks and report findings in team meetings.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor or Masters Degree in Biology or related fields.
• Proven working experience in culturing cell lines and/or primary immune cells.
• History working with a vast range of in vitro assay methods.
• Knowledge on compound handling and assay automation is an advantage.
• Proficiency in data analysis software's and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Be a strong team player who is adaptable and self-motivated.
