Hobson Prior is seeking an Associate Director of Biostatistics to join a global pharmaceutical organization. In this role, you will lead statistical efforts for early-phase clinical studies, focusing on Neurology or Rare Disease projects. This position offers the opportunity to shape study designs, implement innovative statistical methods, and collaborate with external teams to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the lead statistician for Phase I and Phase IIa clinical studies.
• Design studies, including creating Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), protocols, and sample size calculations.
• Review and contribute to final Clinical Study Reports.
• Introduce and apply advanced statistical methods, such as adaptive design and Bayesian approaches, to trial designs.
• Collaborate with external vendors to ensure timely completion of statistical analyses and interpretation of results.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Advanced degree in Biostatistics, Mathematics, or a related field (PhD preferred, MSc accepted).
• Proficiency in statistical programming using SAS or R.
• Experience leading statistical activities in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO industry.
• Familiarity with Neurology or Rare Disease studies is advantageous but not mandatory.
