Hobson Prior is seeking an on-site Specialist in Environmental, Occupational Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EOHSS) for a 9 month contract to support our client's efforts in maintaining a safe and compliant facility.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and policies that ensure safety and environmental standards are met. This role involves administrative support and collaboration with various teams to foster a proactive safety culture. Experience with ATEX (ATmosphere EXplosive) is mandatory for this position.

All applicants have to be based in Switzerland or already have a work permit in Switzerland (cross-borders workers).

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety laws and regulations.
• Develop and update safety programs and procedures.
• Manage communications related to safety and health initiatives.
• Organize and maintain documentation and reports on safety practices.
• Oversee training processes and collaborate with trainers.
• Handle financial and administrative tasks related to safety operations.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and address safety inquiries.
• Participate in discussions and assessments to improve safety performance.
• Innovate and suggest improvements for safety workflows and processes.
• Address and resolve issues promptly, escalating when necessary.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Background in environmental science or related field.
• Experience in coordinating safety projects or incidents.
• Must have experience with ATEX (ATmosphere EXplosive).
• Experience with incidents and/or learning systems database (e.g., Enablon, Success Factors, ComplianceWire, etc.)
• Previous experience related to the EOHSS federal and state regulations (EPA, MassDEP, OSHA, etc.) preferred.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance systems.
• B2 Level in French minimum and Fluency in English.
