Hobson Prior have an exciting opportunity with a Start-up AI-based Diagnostics company who are seeking a Statistician to join them on a permanent basis in Oxford.

Job Responsibilities:

• Represent as the internal expert for Statistics - leading all activities in study design, statistical analyses, modelling and statistical reporting.
• Complete predictive analyses and modelling, working closely with a wider team of Data Scientists and Machine Learning professionals, and be actively involved in large-scale data analytics.
• Prepare statistical analysis plans, statistical sections of study protocols, clinical study reports and other statistical specifications and documentation - including writing relevant sections and graphics for public study-related presentations.
• Perform relevant statistical analyses to identify patterns in the spread of a disease and to accurately differentiate biomarkers and signals of an in-human disease.
• Contribute to Data Management and data cleaning activities - including preparing data dumps, data transfers and identifying data errors and any possible solutions.

Requirements:

• PhD (preferred) or MSc Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or related.
• Extensive experience within the Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, Biotech or CRO sectors.
• Effective verbal & written communication skills in a cross functional environment.
• Knowledge of programming within SAS, R or Python.
• Knowledge of AI-driven platforms and other Data Science related techniques (ie. Machine learning).
• Good project management skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and submission-related activities.
