Hobson Prior are working with a world-wide biopharmaceutical organisation whose pioneering medicines are used by millions of patients all over the world. Our client is looking for a Senior Scientist Bioscience to join them on a contract basis where you will be laboratory based.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Job Responsibilities:

• You might be asked to support other projects in other related areas such as running cell-based assays.
• You will be based in the lab, generating tailored protein reagents to contribute towards projects in all phases of the discovery process.
• The application of leading molecular biology techniques to design expression constructs, make DNA constructs for protein expression, producing recombinant proteins that impact projects, as well as troubleshooting.

Requirements:

• Educated at a Master or Ph. D in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or a related discipline, or 5 years of relevant working experience within Biotechnology.
• Excellent knowledge in molecular biology using a variety of techniques.
• Previous experience in design of DNA constructs for recombinant protein production.
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to operate effectively in a multi-disciplinary research environment.
• Independent analysis and evaluation of complex data and delivery of data to agreed timelines.
