Senior QC Scientist - EM

Hobson Prior are looking for a Senior QC Scientist to join a biopharmaceutical company, that is focused on developing specific therapies that harness the immune system to destroy cancer cells.

Job Responsibilities:

• Overlook routine and non-routine GMP microbiological sampling, including environmental monitoring of classified clean rooms and critical utilities.
• Review environmental monitoring data and laboratory equipment documentation and records.
• Prepare EM trend reports and work with cross functional team to resolve trend issues.
• All activities are achieved in accordance with cGMP requirements and reports discrepancies. Introduce and completes laboratory discrepancy events within expected timelines.
• Build effective working relationships with external stakeholders.
• Schedule and Plan Environmental Monitoring testing.
• Assist in the performance of risk assessments.
• Health and safety activities to ensure equipment and the work area is safe for the team to perform their duties.
• Keep up to date and follow trends in the relevant cGMP and ISO guidelines.
• Outline and implement the environmental monitoring strategy at the company.
• Write and review high level documentation surrounding the environmental monitoring approach.

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc within biology/microbiology or a subject that is relevant.
• More than 3 years' experience in QC/Manufacturing within a focus/good understanding of environmental monitoring and/or microbiology.
• Experience authoring SOPs, EM trend reports, and validation protocols
• Ability to interpret microbiological cultures and other related tests including, but not limited to, environmental monitoring, bioburden tests, growth promotion, endotoxin, and TOC testing.
• A good understanding of and familiarity with GMP and ISO regulations including GDP.
• Great attention to detail and ability to understand SOPs.
