Hobson Prior are working with a leading world-wide healthcare organisation who are recruiting for a Senior QA Officer to join them on a permanent basis in the South West.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports QMS.
  • Manage suppliers to investigate product quality complaints and assess final reports.
  • Support the company Vigilance process.
  • Supports / Lead internal audits & external supplier audits.
  • Support the Risk Management Process.
  • Approval of local SOPs associated with processes employed by Alliance.
  • Maintenance of schedules associated with systems.
  • Supports all critical quality issues e.g. complaints, recalls, FSNs, stability failures, etc, ensuring investigations are correctly executed.
  • Support / lead inspections by competent authorities, notified bodies and customers.
  • Ensures the Quality Manager is informed of major / critical issues that may have an adverse effect on product quality, safety or efficacy or compliance.
  • Maintains Quality SOPs, ensuring processes support the business, are compliant with current expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide advice and training on all quality related matters including but not limited to GMP, ISO standards and validation.

  • A high level of self-motivation is necessary.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Analytical, reviews trends and pre-empts future issues.

Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline is preferred with experience in a Quality environment in a healthcare industry.
  • An understanding and knowledge of GMP, the legal and routine duties of various statutory roles (i.e. QP, RP) and the role of the various authorisation and registrations (i.e. marketing authorisations, technical files, product information files).
  • An understanding of manufacturing and packing processes and ability to make sound judgement and recommendations relating to the manufacture of healthcare products.
  • Ability to introduce, co-ordinate, complete and report on projects.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office.
