Senior Process Engineer

Hobson Prior is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join a leading Biotechnology company in the North West. Our Client specialise in providing a complete platform technology for production, isolation and purification of economic biosurfactants.

Job Responsibilities:

• Evolving process control and scaling the innovative integrated production and gravity separation technology process to pre-industrial preliminary scale.
• Expand design work will be required as well as locating suitable facilities and engineering firms for construction of equipment.
• Work closely with fermentation team and customers, both to collaborate on fermentation development for additional molecules and to expand the technology.

• A 'can do' attitude with the ability to solve problems and make informed decisions.
• Proven ability to build relationships and work within a team.
• Being well organised, able to effectively prioritise workload and multi-task.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in expanding of fermentation and separation processes to industrial scale.
• Familiarity and proven experience of implementing process control systems.
• Expertise in successively running bioreactors up to industrial scale.
• Experience and ability to manage an expansion project with a variety of industrial and academic partners.
