Senior Medical Adviser

Hobson Prior are currently working with a world-wide pharmaceutical organisation who are seeking a Senior Medical Adviser to join them on a contract basis in West London.

Job Responsibilities:

• Partake and be an active member in the UK Medical and Brand teams in order to provide medical input into Brand Strategy.
• You will lead local strategies and ensure alignment with European strategies.
• Ensure alignment with UK Marketing and Regulatory before communicating to European team.
• Continuously updates knowledge of products, patient treatment trends and scientific activities within the Disease Area.
• Provides clear, concise and appropriately tailored communications relevant to the audience and the subject matter to ensure a positive outcome.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GCP, GMP and ICH as well as legal and ethical standards.
• Assess, review and approve all promotional materials to ensure that all claims are supported by scientific data and are presented in a fair, accurate and balanced way in compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice.
• Demonstrates a commitment to own development by showing advanced presentation skills and expertise in behavioural techniques and product and therapy area knowledge.
• In partnership with the Deputy Local Safety Officer you will receive and assess adverse event reports from Health Care Professionals, patients, non-interventional studies or the MHRA and follow up with the reporter if additional information is required.
• Complete ADR forms and log these on a local tracking system.

• Capability to quickly and comprehensively learn about new therapy areas and environments.
• Ability to build strong relationships with External Experts.
• Demonstrated ability to write scientific publications.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office software products.

Requirements:

• GMC Registered Physician or UK-registered pharmacist with a higher degree.
• A minimum of 1-year experience as an ABPI final signatory.
• Prior experience of working in a medical advisor, clinical research or similar role where there is strong evidence of gaining healthcare professional insight and providing medical input into brand strategy.
• Knowledge of the UK National Healthcare System and the pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of statistical methods.
• Knowledge of pricing issues and experience of contribution to HTA dossiers.
• Complete knowledge of UK and EU regulations e.g. MHRA, GVP.
• Full driving licence or ability to travel within the UK.
