Hobson Prior are looking for a Senior Manager - Modelling to join a top biotechnology company on a contract basis in Uxbridge. Our client focuses on putting new ideas and discoveries into pioneering medicines for patients with serious illnesses.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leading core cost-effectiveness, budget impact and account calculator model development and adaptations to address local requirements.
  • Responsible for project management, content and execution in collaboration with cross-functional local, regional and global teams.
  • Developing the economic sections of HTA pricing and reimbursement submissions.
  • Providing input to Value Story development and updates.
  • Offering input to design and interpretation of evidence generation studies.
  • Supporting timely and effective communication to HTA and reimbursement authorities.
  • Interpreting clinical studies results and plan additional statistical analyses needed for core models and local model adaptations, including indirect treatment comparisons.
  • Presenting, discussing and re-analyzing model results.
  • Leading and supporting publications of core global and local economic models.
  • Responsible to manage a team of junior economic modelers.

Key Skills:

  • Strong statistical skills, in particular deep knowledge of advanced survival analyses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using Visual Basic, and software such as TreeAge Pro, R, SAS, Stata or WinBUGS for model development and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate Degree and 2 years of health economics and outcomes research experience or master's degree and 6 years of health economics and outcomes research experience or bachelor's degree and 8 years of health economics and outcomes research experience.
  • MSc or PhD in Health Economics with a background in economics or in a quantitative field (such as statistics/biostatistics, epidemiology or engineering) (preferred).
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in global health economics and outcomes research including US dossier submissions for coverage and reimbursement (preferred).
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience developing pharmacoeconomic models (preferred).
