Hobson Prior are looking for a Senior Biostatistician (Data Scientist) to join a Globally renowned Pharmaceutical company on a contract basis in Basel. This position will work alongside scientists and developers to answer scientific statistical questions using clinical and/or genetics data, in addition they will develop and apply statistical methods and predictive model that deliver impact on research and drug develop programs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accountable to ensure that the clinical question being addressed, and the statistical methodology being used to interpret the data, is fully understood within their team.
• Applies expertise in machine learning, data visualization and both structured and unstructured data analytics.
• Contributes to analysis and/ or preparation of datasets.
• Develops novel statistical and technical methods that can meet the benchmarks for quality within the group.
• Programs or works within Python, R, SAS as appropriate.

Requirements:

• Experience using Python, R for data analysis.
• Proven expertise within Clinical/ Medical data analysis.
• Exposure to genetics data would be a positive.
• Knowledgeable within statistical machine learning, bioinformatics.
• Proven experience in the Pharmaceutical or drug/ treatment development industry.
