Hobson Prior are currently working with a leading pharmaceutical organisation who focuses on enabling better access to medicines for patients all over the world by developing, manufacturing and suppling cost-effective medicines. Our client is looking for a QA Team Leader to join them on a permanent basis located in Essex.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the Romford Quality Assurance Officer team activities including scheduling of workload.
  • Work in partnership with Quality Systems Department at Romford in order to develop the Pharmaceutical Quality System.
  • Set the objectives of the Romford Quality Assurance Officer team in accordance with the company strategy and manage their performance.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and encourage a continuous improvement programme.
  • Support regulatory inspections.
  • Support self-inspection/internal audits and customers' audits.
  • Lead major and critical quality investigations and propose appropriate CAPAs.
  • Review, approve and close deviations, CAPAs and change controls in a timely manner and within guidelines.
  • Generate PPQR data in readiness for assessment and approval by Quality Systems Department.
  • Support customer complaints for all Romford manufactured products.
  • Work alongside Quality Systems with the co-ordination of recall activities.
  • Generate departmental KPIs as required by the business.
  • Support and provide quality oversight of company projects and lead critical quality projects.

Requirements:

  • Degree in relevant scientific subject (i.e. Chemistry, Microbiology or Pharmacy).
  • A minimum of three years' experience working within a Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance or Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Experience of conducting GMP/GDP self-inspections.
  • A sound understanding of the European regulatory framework and current guidelines relating to the manufacture and supply of medicines including controlled drugs.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft office packages, particularly Excel.
