Project R&D Engineer

Hobson Prior are looking for a Project Engineer to join a medical device company who deliver pioneering medical devices and solutions in orthopaedics, spinal care and neuroscience. This position will contribute to the EU Medical Device Regulation transition.

Job Responsibilities:

• Fulfilment of technical goals agreed around project objectives, within agreed deadlines.
• Responsibility for agreeing product designs and influencing the choice of raw materials, processes and equipment required to develop and manufacture products.
• Be project lead for parts of the overall program or maintenance of existing products.
• Work within the parameters of the company's procedures as detailed in the SOP manual.
• Supporting regulatory submissions for current products in strategic markets.

Key Skills:

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, sometimes under high pressure situations.
• Outstanding and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to work simultaneously on a number of tasks with tight timelines.
• Prior experience building close professional relationships both internally and externally.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in engineering or science subject. Master's Degree would be preferable but not essential.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in relevant practical area.
