Hobson Prior currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Lead Consultant to join a biotechnology company whose mission is to improve human health by creating therapeutics for the treatment of serious diseases. This is a contract role based in Oxford.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Job Responsibilities:

  • You will be working with the Programme Management team, and functional leads, identify key risks and put in place mitigation and contingency strategies to manage them.
  • Communicate project progress, tracking of milestones, risks and mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
  • Accountable to lead project team meetings, involving key stakeholders as required against the agreed governance process, escalating where appropriate to ensure programme delivery stays on track.
  • Work closely with the CMO and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to ensure development and delivery of the Company's lead programme through preclinical development, CMC manufacture, CTA preparation, and into the clinic.
  • Accountable for the overall delivery of the preclinical programme and progression to clinic - leading Research, Translational and Biomarker, CMC, Clinical, Supply Chain, and Regulatory cross-functional interactions to progress the project.
  • Lead the planning and preparation of the CTA and IND submission packages, coordinating input to and writing of regulatory documents.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments, ensuring the key information is communicated across the matrix team, negotiating across projects and functions to ensure deliver of programme objectives, escalating issues as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Established biopharmaceutical development experience.
  • Previous experience collaborating with CMC, regulatory, translational research, and clinical functions.
  • Demonstrable experience influence, negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Extensive experience leading cross-functional matrix teams, preferably as project or programme lead.
  • Previous experience developing therapeutics in the rare disease space and with advanced therapies is preferred.
  • Previous experience designing and executing preclinical, translational and/or clinical pharmacology studies.
