Hobson Prior are looking for a Process Development Scientific Report Writer to join a leading biopharmaceutical company on a contract basis in Slough. You will be responsible for the development of fermentation and primary recovery processes for the production of NBEs from early stage (pre-Phase I clinical studies) through to late stage.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Authoring of upstream process development documents, which may include but not be limited to protocols and reports related to Process Understanding and Process Characterisation Studies, reporting of metadata associated with GMP batches and Scale Down Model verification, cell bank testing and in-process analytical methods.
  • Promote strong collaboration with upstream process scientists to ensure alignment and accuracy of reported results and conclusions.
  • You will organise, format and plot data as appropriate to ensure data is analysed and presented in the most effective manner.
  • Summarising complex data sets and conclusions to provide a clear and concise overview of what was carried out and what was found.
  • Providing the context of each study, why it was performed and what the objectives were.
  • Give clear and accurate descriptions of materials and methods used in the studies, including descriptions of experimental designs as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with Process Development scientists as needed to maintain consistency across documents within and across projects.
  • Identify trends and differences between documents and data sets and recommend improvements to document templates and/or methods for collecting/generating data sets.

Key Skills:

  • Exceptional demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Mastery of the English language, with a comprehensive understanding of English grammar and punctuation.
  • Become familiar with Microsoft Office and computer programs used to generate tables, graphs, and figures (eg Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, MODDE, JMP).
  • Scientific knowledge in upstream process development, biochemical engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, statistics, analytical methods, cellular metabolism and physiology is preferred.
