Hobson Prior are currently working with a growing global specialist healthcare company who are focused on developing and commercialising products targeting acute care, oncology and vascular diseases. Our client is looking for a Process Development Lead to join them on a permanent basis in Wales.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to lead the CMC team in process development project work.
  • Represent the CMC team at project team meetings and provide expert process development advice.
  • Develop novel methodologies to support new and existing manufacturing processes.
  • Apply mathematical and statistical modelling to validate scaled down process models and define process limits. Potential to transfer new small-scale methodologies and techniques to production scale.
  • Act as primary scientific interface between the organisation and 3rd parties for technical discussions surrounding the development of new processes.
  • Input into the Regulatory strategy and author the relevant sections of Regulatory dossiers.
  • Input into group budget and aid adherence.
  • Maintain and develop state of the art knowledge applicable to existing and future processes.
  • Responsible for planning and delivering process development activities according to business requirements, ensuring activities are monitored and delivered.
  • Ensuring that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with the organisation's values.
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as required by the Line Manager.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in an appropriate scientific discipline.
  • Significant experience in a biopharmaceutical or closely related industry.
  • Experience with chromatography and ultrafiltration desirable.
