Patient Safety Lead

Hobson Prior are working with a global biopharma organisation who are focused on changing the lives of patients who are living with severe diseases. This is a permanent position where you will be based in Slough.

Job Responsibilities:

• To work closely with stakeholders within the organisations and outside of the company to ensure the company's product is safe to use.
• Provide strategic safety leadership for assigned products across various cross-functional teams and governance bodies (e.g. Benefit Risk Board, Global Labelling Committee).
• You will be leading, in a matrix structure, a cross-functional Benefit Risk Team. Ensure that all relevant emerging data are assessed, acted upon, and integrated into the benefit risk assessment in a timely manner.
• You will be required to have a global oversight of safety risk management activities for assigned products including signal detection, clinical safety, signal management, aggregate reports, risk communication, aggregate reports, risk mitigation and risk management.

Key Skills:

• Be able to act without oversight in most circumstances as well as provide key input to difficult or sensitive projects.
• Ability to identify risks and propose corrective actions in complex and critical situations.
• Ability to a work in a multifunctional team.
• Basic project management skills to allow management and delivery of multiple complex deliverables within tight timelines.
• You will need the technical skills and capabilities to author and contribute to large complex documents.

Requirements:

• Previous experience within the pharmaceutical market as well as having experience within scientific and project team leadership.
• Will also require a good understanding of PVG and safety requirements for non-clinical development, the registration process and onto the market.
• You will need to have a qualification or the equivalent to in MD/PhD/PharmD.
