Hobson Prior are seeking a Medical Information Specialist to join a pharmaceutical organisation who transforms the lives for people living with a serious chronic diseases. This role is located in Gatwick and will be on a permanent basis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Mainly you will be working on the launch of the first OTC product, educating the business on the requirements of the PAGB code and developing standard working practices.
• You will be offering proactive medical information services developing and maintaining advanced medical information systems in support of new business opportunities and strategic objectives.
• You will act as knowledge and information resource for the company, answering queries about this product from colleagues, healthcare professionals and members of the public, creating of medical information solutions, resolving medical and scientific enquiries that cannot be handled by the outsourced customer care provider and providing product training for colleagues and external providers.
• In addition the Medical Information Specialists are responsible for reviewing promotional and non-promotional materials, providing proactive input to local health economic and medico-marketing campaigns, representing the medical information team at brand team meetings, and providing support and input into product campaigns and launches.
• As part of the team, you will work with colleagues across the UK organisation. There will be regular need to liaise with colleagues in headquarters in Denmark and other affiliates, The most regular contact with be with UK Marketing, market access, customer care and medical teams.

Requirements:

• To be educated at science graduate level with extensive knowledge and experience within the pharmaceutic industry in a medical information role.
• Pervious experience in working with OTC products and therefore working knowledge of the PAGB Code of Practice.
• Previous experience as Medical Information Specialist, or Medical Writer, with medical review, copy approval within the pharmaceutical sector and previous involvement in new product launches.
• Experience working cross-functionally and process development are essential skills required.
