Laboratory Manager

Hobson Prior are looking for an experienced Laboratory Manager to join a world-wide CRO who specialise in partnering with Biotech organisations. This exciting position is going to be on a permanent basis and based in Belgium.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, delegate, and organise the completion of laboratory projects and work.
• Supervise clinical laboratory testing, evaluation of results, and efficiency of testing.
• Review new laboratory policies and measures and implement changes to work processes.
• Ensure safety procedures are in place and compliant with relevant regulations.
• Monitor laboratory quality assurance and quality improvements.
• Liaise with Laboratory Director to resolve procedural and equipment issues.
• Assess laboratory personnel in alliance with Laboratory Supervisor and Laboratory Director.
• Make decisions regarding personnel matters in collaboration with Laboratory Director and Human Resources.

Key Skills:

• Superior time management, leadership, planning and organisational skills, written and verbal communication skills, and quality decision-making skills.
• Experience with the operations, testing and services of the areas supervised, including setting up, reading and releasing test results and troubleshooting equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of drug therapy techniques.
• Knowledge of laboratory theory, preanalytical variables, effective clinical laboratory testing and disease processes, and correlation with clinical laboratory.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in health-related field
• 5 years of supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory.
