Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Key Account Manager who will be responsible for the sales performance of the organsations Oncology products in the region assigned. Our client is a commercial stage biotech organisation who are focused on obtaining developing and commercializing cancer treatments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • As the Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing sales of our brands in the defined territory.
  • Recognise and assess market opportunities and decide on tactics in collaboration with the team in order to maximize on the business opportunity. Achieve expected levels of activity across key customer groups.
  • Leverage cross-functional relationship with medical, marketing and other functions to design and execute on a Key Account Management strategy for territory and deliver required performance of the accounts.
  • Segment local dimensions such as potential and advocacy and to use such analysis to inform territory/account planning.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to build relationships with relevant stakeholders to positively influence appropriate prescribing for the organisations Oncology products to eligible patients.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor products and customer needs to identify new business objectives and support identification and ongoing development of Key Opinion Leaders (local, regional & national).
  • Initiate and lead customer activities and defined sales/marketing projects in the territory.
  • Facilitate customer education in relevant disease areas to increase awareness of best practice.

Key Skills:

  • Able to deal with a range of personalities to achieve objectives.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word.
  • Ideally fluent in conversational and written English.
  • Proven expertise in interpersonal, relationship building, communication and presentation skills is required along with strong influencing & negotiating skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assimilate and simplify complex data, through a Key Account Management approach.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a BA or BS degree, preferably in the Sciences or business fields, minimum 5 years of experience in the pharma industry. Prior sales experience in Oncology product launches is desirable.
  • Relevant sales training/qualification and local industry accreditation g. Farmindustrial knowledge of the local National Health System Administration and basic HTA / health-economics methodologies.
  • Knowledge of basic concepts of tender management including public administration's operational processes.
  • Competent in critical appraisal of data & evidence-based medicine.
  • High levels of emotional intelligence as displayed in interpersonal interactions, presentations, response under pressure, and approach to problem solving.
  • Must be able to travel extensively as dictated by business need, ability to travel and work weekends as needed to attend Congresses, ESMO, etc.
