Hobson Prior currently have an opportunity for an IT Engineer to join an innovative gene therapy organisation who are determined to develop possible curative treatments for patients who are living with serious illnesses.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide full technical support for laptops, iPhones, and iPads, android phones and other equipment as necessary.
• Provide full technical support & implementation of all on-site manufacturing equipment, security systems, network switches, security appliances, access points.
• Provide first, second, & top tier technical support to all Ireland, U.K, Netherlands, and US network users regarding IT issues that are encountered daily such as file, print, hardware issues, network connectivity and software errors.
• Maintain inventory of IT equipment ensuring the assets register is kept up-to-date.
• Maintain records regarding software upgrades and newly installed computer equipment, ensuring licensing for all software purchased is recorded and maintained.
• Maintenance and creation of network user profiles and configuration of privileges through Active Directory.
• Provide IT training to all employees, including inductions for new starters.
• Provide Tier 1 & 2 level support for VPN, LAN, and WAN connectivity; SAN and VMWare virtual infrastructure; DNS, DHCP, Active Directory.
• Monitor and provide operating system support for Microsoft OS's, iOS devices.
• Coordinate vendor technical support services for corporate applications and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with Systems Administrator or designee to perform software upgrades and installs as appropriate for Ireland IT network.
• Antivirus installation and maintenance.
• Coordinates with the Ireland IT Site Manager & IT team on advising on software/hardware solutions and provides testing support for all software/hardware onsite.

Requirements:

• Cisco certifications preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Microsoft certifications would be preferred.
• Firm Microsoft Systems (AD, LDAP etc) background or experience (3+ years).
• Firm Networking Systems Administration background (3+ years).
• Preferred experience with hybrid Azure/on-prem file server, AD configuration.
