Hobson Prior are seeking a Head of Business Development Europe to join a global CRO organisation who are passionate at delivering advanced, high quality, tailored biometrics solutions. This role will be on permanent basis and will be remote based.


Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.


Job Responsibilities:

  • To organize and supervise sales team activities.
  • Responsible for the creation and management of the functional budgets delegated and approved by the PMH CCO.
  • Responsible for the management of commercial partnerships.
  • To identify, contact and visit potential clients and partners.
  • To communicate regularly and network with client representatives and key industry people.
  • To communicate with vendors and other third parties deemed necessary and appropriate to work with in order to support with their selection.
  • To pick up requests for information and requests for proposal.
  • To prepare bid grids and support with budget proposals.
  • To approve budget proposals.
  • To authorize or request expenditures for BD activities according to the assigned budget.
  • To present/ moderate/ facilitate at bid defence meetings and other company presentations.
  • To progress confidentiality agreements, master service agreements, and contracts or service orders with clients, partners and vendors.
  • To collaborate with and hand over new projects to project managers.
  • To promote strategic selling concepts.
  • To organize and manage events in collaboration with event management partners.
  • To ensure the sales team keeps up to date with industry news, market conditions, clients' financial status and technology changes.
  • To organize and moderate weekly Business Development teleconferences and 1 to 1 meetings with the BD and marketing team.
  • Promptly involves the DPO in all matters regarding personal data protection

Key Skills:

  • Excellent selling and negotiating skills.
  • Knowledge of sales strategies and techniques.
  • Good knowledge of financial principles.
  • MS Office Suite, Good.
  • Understanding of international cultures

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Clinical Research and good Biometrics knowledge.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the role of Business Development manager.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a managerial role.
