Hobson Prior are working with a world-wide healthcare organisation whose products and services are used to help care for patients who are critically ill. Our client is looking for a Director of Drug Product Development to join them on a permanent basis in Switzerland.

Job Responsibilities:

• Strategically define drug product process development activities for a pipeline of products.
• Oversee and guide all the drug product development activities around the technical development of a drug product; including, drug product process development, generation of drug product, technology transfer, process characterization, validation and submission of CMC documents.
• Co-operate with external partners you will provide scientific and technical operational guidance for the drug product process development activities and you will drive issue resolution in order to achieve biosimilarity with respect to drug product attributes.
• Act as the technical drug product expert for regulatory consultations/interactions; including briefing book and dossier creation and question response.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. (Hons) in pharmacy, biotechnology, biophysics, biochemistry or similar and PhD (pharmacy, biotechnology, biophysics, biochemistry or similar).
• A minimum of 8 years in pharmaceutical/biotech company specializing in drug product activities; preferably with at least part in a manufacturing setting.
• Previous experience working with biosimilars would be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of biologics with a focus on drug development activities.
