Hobson Prior are looking for a Director/Associate Director Clinical Development to join a world-wide pharmaceutical company based in Switzerland. Our client focuses on providing pioneering medical solutions to improve the quality of people's lives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Offer leadership and strategic support for clinical milestones in projects.
  • Support the creation of the clinical sections of trial and program level regulatory documents.
  • Drives execution of the section of the clinical program in partnership with global line functions, assigned Global Trial Directors (GTDs), and regional/country medical associates.
  • Manage ongoing medical and scientific review of clinical trial data with internal support.
  • Supports GPCH in ensuring overall safety of the molecule for the assigned section, may be a core member of the Safety Management Team, and supports overall program safety reporting.
  • Supports the Therapeutic Area Head by providing medical input into IDP and CTP reviews and driving development of disease clinical standards for new disease areas.
  • Supports the GPCH or TAH in interactions with external stakeholders and internal boards.
  • Ensures career development of Program reports and other clinical colleagues through active participation in the performance management and talent planning processes.
  • Contributes to training of relevant stakeholders on the disease area and compound/molecule.
  • May work with NIBR to drive transition of pre-PoC projects to DDP and with BD&L including target identification and due diligences together with other medical matters, as needed.
  • May be the Program Manager of other associates.
  • May serve on or lead global initiatives.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in relevant area is required.
  • PharmD, or PhD would be preferred.
  • Fluent oral and written English.
  • People management experience would be desirable.
  • Global people management experience would be advantageous.
