Hobson Prior are seeking a Capital Category Manager to join a top pharmaceutical organisation who are focus on the creation of human blood plasma products. For more information regarding this role please get in contact now!

Job Responsibilities
:

  • Define and deliver a category strategy for the provision of Capital Projects and engineering services through category management, competitive tendering and contract management.
  • End to end control of the procurement process from pre-award, evaluation and post contract award.
  • Project management and project ownership with involvement in stage gate reviews.
  • Provide commercial recommendations, negotiate appropriate contracts and support deliverables.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of sourcing activity/projects with realisable objectives and achieve them in the agreed time lines. Deliver cost reduction targets.
  • Manage a complex stakeholder environment across multiple individuals and organisations over long periods of time. Lead on stakeholder relationships at a senior level and be recognised externally as a key point of contact.
  • Build and maintain strong, positive and trusting relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Continually track the supply market - keeping abreast of developments, trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Manage the processes of in-contract performance measurement and management and delivering on agreed SLA's & KPI's.
  • Ensure that correct contract documentation is in place.
  • Timely renewal of contracts preventing being out of contract with suppliers.
  • Create well-structured documents and presentations without guidance. Take sole responsibility for the development and refinement of core sourcing documentation.
  • Interactively tailor the depth of communicated information for specific audiences and situations.

Key Skills:

  • Proven communication skills.
  • Ability to understand complex situations and translate a simple message to their audience.
  • Advanced MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint skills.

Requirements:

  • Proven procurement professional.
  • 5 years' experience in a procurement role.
  • Manipulation of data to improve business process and delivery of role.
  • Proven track record of stakeholder management.
  • Experienced in EPC and EPCM projects.
  • Knowledge and experience in any of NEC3, JCT, LOGIC, FIDIC of IChemE contracts. Experienced in performance management and dispute resolution Proven project management experience.
