Hobson Prior currently have an opportunity for a talented CADD Senior Scientist for Targeted Protein Degradation to join a world-wide biopharma organisation who are focused on changing the lives of patients living with severe diseases. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the discovery of new therapeutic candidates using targeted protein degradation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Self-sufficiently design and execute computational experiments in a timely manner to drive the application of targeted protein degradation technology to therapeutic projects.
• Be proactive in anticipating project needs, contributing strategy and driving project progression from target evaluation to lead-optimisation.
• Contribute to scientific discussions and present data at internal meetings and external scientific conferences.
• To create effective working relationships within the global chemistry and matrix working environment via influencing and networking.
• Drive innovation and new technology, bringing in external science and methodology and developing new ways of working internally.
• Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and effective working environment by setting high personal standards and complying with all Company HSE codes of practice.
• Demonstrate high level of entrepreneurship and foster a can-do and can-win attitude.
• Drive own professional development for continuous improvement of knowledge and skills. Mentor less experienced colleagues. Help to create a teamwork environment.

Key Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Skilled in communicating scientific concepts through data visualization.

Requirements:

• A PhD (or equivalent) in molecular modelling or a related field is required with a good publication track record.
• Experience of structure-based or ligand-based small molecule design.
• Experience in programming languages such as C++ and/or Python.
